We believe in the power of words.
We work with purpose-driven brands, and the people behind them, to communicate their stories more effectively. We develop compelling identities and narratives for startups, small businesses, multinational companies, academic organizations, and nonprofits.
We're an agile and friendly collective of creative professionals, operating out of Friends Work Here, a co-working space in Brooklyn. If you have a brand to launch, a story to share, or a message to spread, we can help you do it. Our capabilities include branding, content strategy, writing, editing, marketing, art direction, graphic design, illustration, photography, and video. See more of our work on the Creative Guild. Recent collaborators include Rescue Vessel, Ben Wagner, and BudBud.
Jen Swetzoff founded Closeup in 2017 after more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of business and communications—as a writer, editor, marketing director, and video producer. She excels at creating content that helps organizations exceed their strategic and operational goals. She's grateful for the opportunities to help experts share their insights.
When she's not at the office, Jen is usually exploring New York City, where she lives with her husband, son, and daughter. She has traveled to every continent except Antarctica and is the co-author of a book called 500 Adrenaline Adventures. Fall is her favorite time of year, but summer is the close runner-up. She loves collaborating with people who believe in what they do, understand why they do it, and want to make the world a better place.
